Q. How do I care for my BDJ’s?

DO NOT WASH. We recommend, Dry clean only. Raw denim should be cleaned with less frequency than treated denim. We recommend wearing for at least 6 months (when possible) before the first clean. This will give the denim a soft feel and break in to your body naturally. See Clean Your Jeans to learn more

Q. What should I tell my Dry Cleaners about cleaning my BDJ’s?

No Moisture. If they need more directions have them call us: 888-963-7879.

Q. If my BDJ’s get wet how should I dry them?

Air Dry Only. Never machine dry raw denim.

Q. What is the deal with people soaking raw denim in a bathtub or keeping them in the freezer?

As you learn more about Raw Denim you will discover some interesting ways to clean and care for your jeans to achieve different fades and shading. Some work well while others can damage you jean. Q. What is the baseball glove effect and why is it attributed to Blue Delta Jeans?

The baseball glove effect refers to the breaking in of the jean to your body. Not unlike a quality baseball glove, raw denim requires a wearing in or breaking in period. Over time the jean will form to your body for the best feel and fit. The baseball glove comparison was coined by Nick Weaver of BDJ. In recent years the term has become common jargon in raw denim circles.

Q. What does Bespoke mean?

Bespoke is not exactly a new term, but it seems to be gaining in popularity. It means the opposite of off-the-rack. Bespoke clothing is custom-made clothing. It is not made to measure, as featured by many good clothing vendors. A made-to-measure item is a standard one customized at the factory in certain measurements and details. The thread theory makes up the three distinct stitch patterns on a jean. The BDJ bespoke process allows the customers to have input on the thread theory to achieve a unique look for each pair of BDJ’s they have.
